Lucas SAE 10W-30 Synthetic Blend FA-4 is a premium Heavy Duty Motor Oil blended with high quality API Group II and Group III base oils and a cutting-edge additive package providing the robust performance required by modern diesel engines while assuring good fuel economy. Much improved oxidation resistance means this oil lasts longer and protects engines better than previous heavy duty motor oils. Many new diesel engines require FA-4 performance levels. These are in most ways similar to CK-4, but the High Temperature High Shear (HTHS) viscosity is lower than the corresponding SAE 10W-30 CK-4 engine oil. This lower viscosity results in improved fuel economy. The close tolerances of modern diesel engines which specify FA-4 engine oil, means that there is no wear penalty for this improved fuel economy; however, it also means that FA-4 oil is not backwardly compatible with older engines designed to use any previous heavy duty specification (CK-4, CJ-4, Cl-4 etc.). Please check your owner's manual to be sure FA-4 oil is right for your application.

Lucas SAE 10W-30 Synthetic Blend FA-4 is specially formulated for modern Ultra-Low Sulfur Diesel Fuel and engines equipped with Diesel Particulate Filters (DPF) and utilizing Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) to control particulates and nitrous oxides. Excellent soot control and TBN retention as well as shear stability are integral aspects to Lucas FA-4 oil.

Recommended for all engines specifying SAE 1 0W-30 heavy duty oil, FA-4 only. Meets all common domestic and foreign OEM specifications which specify FA-4 motor oil, including Mack, Volvo, Caterpillar, Cummins, Detroit Diesel, Daimler, MAN, Renault and Ford.
